The 2020/21 Board of Directors is comprised of eleven members. All are parents who foster the development of their children and the Francophonie, bringing new ideas, innovating and analyzing FPFA’s current situation, while ensuring the proper functioning of the organization.

I am involved in FPFA because the French language is important to me. I am proud to be French in an English-speaking community and my children can live in a bilingual multicultural environment.

I am involved in FPFA because the Francophonie is close to my heart and it’s important for me to have access to programs and services in French. I think we must unite in order to maintain our roots and continue to flourish in our beautiful French language. FPFA is an organization promoting this objective, namely the preservation of our Francophonie.

I am involved with the FPFA because I want to make sure that everyone understands that the Francophonie is much more than just a language, it is a history of language, culture and values, and that we must mobilize for its defense and promotion.

French is the only official language in 30 countries. French is one of the official languages in 26 other countries.

Speaking French is a chance and an opening to the world.

I get involved in FPFA because my family, education and my Francophonie are priorities for me. I like to get involved with my community in order to improve our services.

I am involved in FPFA because by sitting on the Board, my contribution will be to promote Francophone Education and to help parents understand the importance of getting involved in committees. I will be the channel for conveying the objectives and missions of the FPFA, to ensure that each parent is equipped to take their place in the education of their children to deepen their French language and be proud of it.

I am involved in FPFA because I see the incredible value that this organization brings to francophone parents in the province. I would like to help increase the number of resources and activities available to parents of teenagers, and also strengthen the link between the FPFA and French-language school boards in the province, to increase the loyalty of French-speaking children from elementary school. at the secondary level and then at the college and university level. Francophone education is really close to my heart and I want to bring my perspective to the provincial level.

I am involved in FPFA because I want to :

  • share my 15+ years of experience as a francophone parent in Alberta: relationships with school principals and school boards, fundraising for societies, relationships with parents (established and newcomers)
  • continue to increase the participation of Francophones in the southern part of the province (from Bellevue to Airdrie, Canmore to Medicine Hat)
  • assist Alberta parents through FPFA resources to achieve their goal of educating their children in French

I am involved in the FPFA because my ambition is to help and support Francophones in the region, to develop services to help families and to promote those that already exist. I would like to represent families in my area.
